NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on January 25, 2013, the Board of Optometry received a petition for waiver or variance filed by Helen Viksnins, American Academy of Optometry, from paragraph 64B13-5.002(3)(c), F.A.C., with regard to approval of transcript quality continuing education programs. Specifically, the Petitioner, requests a one-time variance/waiver of the requirement of paragraph 64B13-5.002(3)(c), F.A.C., that a transcript-quality continuing education program be approved by the Board of Optometry as transcript-quality coursework prior to the time the course was taken.
