NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 04, 2017, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Omni Hotel at 245 Water Street, Jacksonville, FL. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of Rules 2.11.3(c)(e), 2.11.3(c)(g), and 2.11.3(c), A17.1, 1987 edition, as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), Florida Administrative Code, that requires upgrading the elevators with firefighters’ emergency operations which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
