Board of MedicineNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Medicine has received a Petition for Declaratory Statement filed on behalf of Gino J. Sedillo, M.D., on July 29, 2011. The Petitioner requests that the Board find that the payment of termination compensation to Petitioner does not constitute fee-splitting in violation of Section 458.331(1)(i), Florida Statutes, when such payment includes both the professional and technical components of cardiac catheterization services and procedures which are performed by or with the personal and direct supervision of Petitioner in the cardiac catheterization laboratory of which Petitioner is a shareholder. The Board will consider this petition at its meeting currently scheduled for September 30 – October 1, 2011.
