NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 05, 2024, the Department of Children and Families, received a petition for variance from section 3.2 of the Child Care Facility Handbook, which is incorporated by reference in subsection 65C-22.001(6), Florida Administrative Code, from Launchpad Preschool. Section 3.2 provides that firearms and weapons, as defined in section 790.001, F.S., are prohibited within any building or upon any person located on the premises, excluding federal, state or local law enforcement officers.
