NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Department of Corrections has received the petition for declaratory statement from Richard Gordon, DC# J30848The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of subsection 33-503.001(3)(c), Florida Administrative Code (“F.A.C.”). as it applies to the petitioner.
The petition seeks clarification on whether subsection 33-503.001(3)(c), F.A.C., extends the Florida Department of Corrections “the authority to deny area for worship and religious observances, based on a ‘minimum number’ of participants.” Persons whose substantial interests may be affected by a declaratory statement issued in this matter may file a motion to intervene or a petition for administrative hearing within twenty-one (21) days after the publication of this notice.
