NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 12, 2013, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Loft Fitness. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of ASME A17.1, Section 2.2.2.5, 2.26.2.33, 2.27.3.1.6(h), 2.27.3.2.5, 2.27.3.3.1(c), 2.27.3.3.7, 2.27.3.4, 2.27.7.2 and 2.27.8, as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), Florida Administrative Code that requires upgrading the elevators with firefighters’ stop switch, sump pump, fire hat-visual/audible signal, fire recall, fire operation panel in car operating station, firefighters’ operation panel, interruption of power, firefighters’ emergency operation: operating procedures and switch keys which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
