    6A-1.09412Course Requirements - Grades K-12 Basic and Adult Secondary Programs

    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To revise certain courses contained in the Course Code Directory and Instructional Personnel Assignments for Grades K-12 to add the revised Civics and Government standards, new Holocaust Education standards, new Character Education standards and new Substance Use and Abuse standards as appropriate for each grade level and course. Language from House Bill 5, pertaining to a comparative discussion of political ideologies, will be added to high school courses that are coded as meeting the American Government graduation requirement. Additionally, this rule will be rewritten for clarity and organization.

    SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: All grades K-12 subject area courses based on the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards.
