The Board of Medicine hereby gives notice that it has received a Petition for Declaratory Statement filed by Jack J. Michel, M.D., on behalf of Project Access Foundation.   The Petition was filed on August 8, 2006. The Petition seeks the Board’s interpretation of Section 458.315, Florida Statutes, with regard to areas of critical need and the expansion of scope of service to include crisis stabilization services. The Board will consider this petition at its meeting scheduled for October 7, 2006, in Tampa, Florida.
