    NOTICE OF CHANGE

    Notice is hereby given that the following changes have been made to the proposed rule in accordance with subparagraph 120.54(3)(d)1., F.S., published in Vol. 42 No. 124, June 27, 2016 issue of the Florida Administrative Register.

    The following sections of the proposed rule will be changed to read:

    7.007 Latin American and Caribbean Scholarship Eligibility

    (1) No change.

    (a) No change.

    (b) Scholarships awarded by a university must be funded from state funds appropriated to universities in the General Appropriations Act, investment earnings as provided under section 1011.43, Florida Statutes, or from federally authorized scholarship funds. Universities may seek use equal matching funds from private businesses, private foundations, private donors, and public agencies.

    (2) No change.

    (3) No change.

    (4) Without regard to other awards or scholarships the student may receive, the Latin American and Caribbean Scholarship, together with any matching funds, must equal at least $ 500.00 one-half the amount of resident tuition for the semester.

    (5) This regulation rule shall not disqualify any student awarded the scholarship prior to Fall 2016 Spring 2017 provided the student continuously meets scholarship requirements.

    (6) Each university shall report the number and value of all scholarships provided pursuant to this regulation rule in a format and timeframe prescribed by the Board of Governors.
