PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of this rule development notice is to address potential rule amendments for stone crab, as the Commission is considering modifying the requirements for escape ring location in plastic and wood stone crab traps. The effect of these rule amendments would be to resolve compliance issues with the escape ring location requirements.
