Northwest Florida Water Management District
The Northwest Florida Water Management District announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: Wednesday, September 3, 2014, 10:00 a.m., CT
PLACE: Burnt Sock Landing, approximately 4 miles north of Vernon; the landing is located on the south side of Johnson Road, approximately 1.5 miles east of Hwy 79
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Northwest Florida Water Management District will hold a public event to celebrate the grand opening of a new recreation site along Holmes Creek in Washington County. The exclusive canoe, kayak and small boat launch will improve public access to the District’s northern-most ownership along Holmes Creek. Attendees will learn more about the project and hear remarks from District staff and invited elected officials. Note: One or more District Governing Board members may be in attendance at the event.
