NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 14, 2018, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for UTC Center for Intelligent Buildings at 13995 Pasteur Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Petitioner seeks a variance of the requirements of ASME A17.1b, Section 6.1.4.1, as adopted by Rule 61C-5.001, Florida Administrative Code that requires Variation of Escalator speed after start-up which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
