The Florida Department of Transportation, District 2 announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME: August 30, 2016, 4:30 p.m.

PLACE: Cedar Key Community Center, 809 6th Street, Cedar Key, FL 32626

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This hearing is being held to afford interested persons the opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, social, economic and environmental effects of Financial Project ID: 411423-1 otherwise known as the C Street Bridge Replacement project in Cedar Key, Florida. You are invited to attend a Public Hearing to discuss the proposed plans for replacement of the C Street Bridge. This hearing will be an “Open House” format to allow visitors to drop by anytime from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to talk with Department staff, ask questions and submit written comments. At 6:30 p.m., the Department will open the hearing for public comments. The new bridge will consist of a 17 foot one-way travel lane, 8 foot parking lanes and 6 foot sidewalks on both sides of the roadway. The proposed bridge will be raised approximately 3 feet. During construction, the bridge will remain open to through traffic only, no parking will be allowed on the bridge. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, disability or family status.
