    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) has scheduled an Elected Official/Agency Kick-Off Meeting to discuss the Boca Raton II Tri-Rail Station Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. This study is being conducted to evaluate a proposed second Tri-Rail station in Boca Raton near Glades Road and Military Trail. This additional station will benefit the local residents, students, workers of nearby employment centers and patrons of area businesses. The meeting is an opportunity for elected and public officials to discuss the social, environmental, and economic effects of this project’s potential improvements. The meeting format will include a short presentation providing an overview of the potential improvement and anticipated issues, followed by a comment session.

    The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being carried-out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
