NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 16, 2017, the Department of Environmental Protection received a petition for variance from Petitioner, Lee County. The petition requested a permanent variance from Rule 62-610.466, F.A.C., to meet primary drinking water standards in reclaimed water Aquifer Storage and Recovery systems for the subsurface storage of reclaimed water from the Lee County Utilities, Fort Myers Beach and Fiesta Village Wastewater Treatment Plants that has undergone treatment and high-level disinfection to meet Public Access Reuse standards. Rule 62-610.466, F.A.C., requires that applicants demonstrate that the receiving use of Class G-II ground water contains between 1000 and 3000 mg/L of total dissolved solids for aquifer storage and recovery systems. The property is located at 1500 Monroe Street, Third Floor, Fort Myers, Florida. The petition has been assigned OGC No. 17-0966.
