The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has determined that the Village of Indiantown’s projects involving improvements to the water and wastewater systems are not expected to generate controversy over potential environmental effects. The proposed project includes new membrane softening units for water treatment, replacement of water main pipe, new water main pipe for looping, and new water meters. The project also includes reconditioned package plants for wastewater treatment, replacement of force main pipe, slip lining of sewer pipe, new grinder pump stations, and new force main pipe. The estimated cost for these projects is $8.5 million. The project may qualify for Drinking Water and Clean Water SRF loans composed of federal and state funds. DEP will consider public comments about the environmental impacts of the proposed projects that are postmarked or delivered at the address below within 30 days of this notice.
