  • The Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Board announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.
    DATE AND TIME: September 9, 2011, 10:00 a.m.
PLACE: Collier County Board of County Commissioners Chambers, Third Floor, 3299 East Tamiami Trail, Naples, Florida
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The MPO Board will be asked to approve the FY 2011/12 through FY 2015/16 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Amendments with consideration of all the comments received during the public comment period. A public hearing will be held on the FY 2011/12 through FY 2015/16 TIP in conjunction with the MPO’s regular meeting.
The first TIP amendment is to add a new transit capital improvement project in FY 2011/12. The project is to purchase a new fixed-route bus. Previously, the MPO Board approved a Congestion Management System (CMS) project to purchase a bus to be used for the Lee-Collier County bus route. The total project amount is $375,000.
The second amendment is to add the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Roll-Forward Report to the FY 2011/12 through FY 2015/16 TIP. The Collier MPO’s TIP includes the FDOT Five-Year Work Program, which is the list of projects to be funded each of the five years with state and federal funds. Each year as FDOT closes their fiscal year, which ends on June 30, a Roll-Forward Report is created which lists projects that were not completed prior to FDOT’s fiscal year end. The FY 2011/2012-2015/2016 TIP must be amended to incorporate FDOT’s Roll-Forward Report.
