    DATE AND TIME: September 9, 2014, 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is inviting the community to a public hearing about the proposed safety improvements to State Road (SR) 60 intersections at Willow Oak Road and South Creek Drive. Proposed improvements at Willow Oak Road, from milepost 2.112 to milepost 2.500, consist of realigning and channelizing the median opening and installing left and U-turn lanes. Proposed improvements to South Creek Drive, from milepost 3.38 to milepost 3.902, include installing left turn lanes on east and westbound SR 60, adding a right turn lane with bicycle lane on westbound SR 60, and eliminating the full median opening just immediately east.

    The hearing will consist of an open house from 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., allowing people time to view displays, ask questions, and discuss the work one-on-one with members of the project team. There will be a brief audio-visual presentation about the project at 5:30 p.m. followed by public comment period. Following, the open house will continue until 7:00 p.m.
