    RULE NO.:RULE TITLE:

61G15-20.007Educational Requirements for Applicants without EAC/ABET Accredited Engineering Degrees

The Board of Professional Engineers hereby gives notice: of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on May 12, 2019, by Doru V. Botic, P.E., G.C. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Waiver was published in Vol. 45, No. 98, of the May 20, 2019, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a variance from or a waiver of subsection 61G15-20.007(1), F.A.C. and licensure as a professional engineer by endorsement. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on June 9, 2016, in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on July 8, 2019, denied the Petition for a Variance or Waiver because the petitioner has failed to meet the purpose of the underlying statute by other means and has failed to demonstrate application of the rule to Petitioner would create an undue hardship or violate principles of fairness.
