The Board of Massage Therapy hereby gives notice: of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on February 7, 2019, by John P. Reed. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 45, No. 29, of the February 12, 2019, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a variance or waiver of Statute, 480.041(b), F.S., regarding educational requirements as a massage therapist. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on April 24 and 25, 2019, in Tampa, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on May 8, 2019, denied the petition stating that the petition did not meet the requirements to be considered a petition for variance or waiver of a rule.
