    South Florida Water Management District

    The South Florida Water Management District announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: Thursday, September 10, 2020, 9:00 a.m. or thereafter during the Monthly Meeting of the South Florida Water Management District Governing Board

    PLACE: This meeting will be conducted via Zoom, a media technology free for the public to use. A link will be provided on the District’s website at www.SFWMD.gov/meetings.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District will hold a Public Hearing to discuss proposed boundary modifications to the District’s Five Year (Florida Forever) Work Plan (Section 373.199, Florida Statutes and subsection 373.139(3), Florida Statutes). The proposed modifications move lands from the Allapattah Complex Natural Storage Component to the C-44 Reservoir and Stormwater Treatment Area Component, all located within the Indian River Lagoon-South, Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Project, in Martin County. The boundary modifications also add non-project lands to the C-44 Reservoir and Stormwater Treatment Area Component.

    The public and stakeholders will have an opportunity to view and comment on the meeting by utilizing the link found on the District’s website at www.SFWMD.gov/meetings, which will go live at approximately 9:00 a.m. on September 10, 2020.

    All of this Public Hearing will be conducted via media technology.

    The Governing Board may take official action at the meeting on any item appearing on the agenda and on any item that is added to the agenda as a result of a change to the agenda approved by the presiding officer of the meeting pursuant to Section 120.525, Florida Statutes.
