Notice is hereby given that the Board of Nursing has received a Petition for Declaratory Statement filed by Daniel Sforza, on August 22, 2017. The Petitioner seeks a Declaratory Statement from the Board with regard to whether it is within the scope of practice of a registered nurse, educated and experienced in gastroenterology nursing and endoscopy, to have an expanded procedural role under the direct supervision of a physician endoscopist in the placement of a Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy Tube (PEG tube). Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after the publication of this notice.
