    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This Request for Applications (RFA) is open to Applicants proposing the retrofit of an existing multifamily rental Development whose site, or any part thereof, is subject to any Land Use Restriction Agreement or Extended Use Agreement, or both, in conjunction with any Corporation affordable housing financing intended to foster the development or maintenance of affordable housing and that were originally Completed prior to December 31, 1999.

    Under this RFA, the Corporation expects to award up to $7,533,084 of Multifamily Energy Retrofit Program (MERP) loan funds. The Corporation is soliciting Applications from qualified Applicants that commit to retrofit building components with energy efficient components as well as other improvements that reduce energy and water costs, provide ongoing resident and property management staff education and outreach to maximize the benefits of the retrofit and report energy use/savings regarding the status of energy performance improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of this RFA, inclusive of all Exhibits, applicable laws, rules and regulations, and the Corporation’s generally applicable construction and financial standards. Applicants may carry out these retrofits as part of a broader rehabilitation plan that has non-MERP financing associated with it. However, MERP funding will not be provided in conjunction with financing provided through separate Corporation-issued RFAs.
