    The Department of Children and Families hereby gives notice:

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Department of Children and Families has issued an order disposing of the petition for variance of subparagraph 65D-30.004(12)(c)(4) and paragraph 65D-30.013(2)(d), F.A.C., filed by South Florida Behavioral Health Network and The Village South Inc.,, Case No., 18-024W on August 28, 2018. The Notice of Variance and Waivers was published in Volume 44, No. 127, F.A.R., on June 29, 2018. Rule 65D-30.004, F.A.C., requires specified information be in the client participant records for Level II prevention. paragraph 65D-30.013(2)(d), F.A.C., identifies specific prevention strategies for problem identification and referral services. The following is a summary of the agency’s disposition of the petition:

    Petitioners are granted a temporary variance through June 30, 2019 of subparagraph 65D-30.004(12)(c)(4) and paragraph 65D-30.013(2)(d), F.A.C. This variance permits Petitioners to continue to use Substance Abuse and Mental Health Department funds to pay the costs of urinalysis testing conducted at the request of the Miami-Dade County dependency courts and drug courts on adults. Additionally, this variance permits Petitioners to use their proposed alternative manual documentation tools to satisfy rule requirements.
