61C-5.001: Safety StandardsNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 17, 2012, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of ASME A17.1b, Section 2.8.1, and 2.8.2, as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), Florida Administrative Code, that requires upgrading the elevators equipment in hoistways, machinery spaces, machine rooms, control spaces, and control rooms which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
