NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Building Commission has received the petition for declaratory statement from Innovative Construction Inspections, Inc. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Section 553.791, Florida Statutes, as it applies to the petitioner.

Petitioner seeks clarification as to the level of work that can be performed by a private provider certified under Chapter 468 pursuant to the above-referenced statute and whether a local building official is required to accept the inspection results.
