The Public Employees Relations Commission hereby gives notice: On August 27, 2020, the Public Employees Relations Commission issued a final order in Case No. MS-2020-048 granting an unopposed emergency petition for variance from Florida Administrative Code Rule 60CC-4.002 filed by Israel Santiago and the Highlands County Education Support Personnel Association d/b/a Highlands County Educational Staff Professionals. The variance allows the Petitioners to conduct all aspects of a ratification election electronically. The Public Employees Relations Commission determined that the Petitioners had demonstrated an emergency existed and that they would suffer a substantial hardship if the variance was not granted. The petition was filed on August 11, 2020, and the notice of receipt of the petition was published on August 13, 2020, on the Commission’s website and in Volume 46, Number 158 F.A.R. No comments were received to the petition.
