GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation will host a public information meeting to provide details on the upcoming roadway construction project on State Road (SR) 5/US-1 from SE 9 Street to SE 30 Street in Broward County, FL. Project improvements include installing 11 bus shelters along the project limits within the cities of Hallandale Beach, Hollywood, Dania Beach and Fort Lauderdale; upgrading signalization at 18 intersections to provide traffic signal priority for public transit buses; and installing a crosswalk, pedestrian signal crossing and associated curb ramps on SR 5/US-1 at NE/NW 1 Street in the City of Dania Beach.

Construction will begin August 29, 2019 and is estimated to be completed in spring 2020. The estimated construction cost is $1,034,836.

During the informal open house, attendees will have the opportunity to review roadway improvements, construction plans and traffic control plans. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
