PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The proposed amendments align with recent legislative updates, including the new Section 1006.07(11), F.S., in House Bill 1421, which requires district school boards to adopt policies to ensure district schools and local mobile response teams use the same suicide risk assessment instrument approved by the Department of Education. The rule may include other changes to strengthen suicide awareness and prevention.
