NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on July 28, 2010, the Board of Chiropractic Medicine has received the petition for declaratory statement from Silvia Rosen Halpern, D.C.The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Section 460.403, Florida Statutes, as it applies to the petitioner.
Petitioner is seeking the Board’s interpretation of Section 460.403, Florida Statutes, concerning whether petitioner is permitted to provide nutritional services/counseling to her patients for the purpose of weight loss/weight management wellness services. Petitioner also seeks clarification concerning whether a licensed chiropractic physician may market and sell herbal supplements, natural foods and over-the-counter food supplements for weight loss/weight management wellness services.
