GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Coastal Management Program will present a live webinar on the Coastal Partnership Initiative (CPI) grant program. This funding opportunity is available to Florida's 35 coastal counties and the municipalities within their boundaries that are required to include a coastal element in their comprehensive plan. Public universities/colleges, regional planning councils, non-profit groups, and National Estuary Programs may also apply, provided that an eligible local government agrees to participate as a partner and application signatory. The CPI program was developed to promote the protection and effective management of Florida's coastal resources in four specific priority areas: Resilient Communities; Coastal Resource Stewardship; Public Access to Coastal Resources; and Working Waterfronts. The webinar will present the program and eligibility requirements, application process, review process and timeline, and some example projects. There will be a question and answer session following the presentation. The webinar will also be recorded and posted to the CPI website at https://floridadep.gov/rcp/fcmp/content/grants.
