    NOTICE OF CHANGE

    Notice is hereby given that the following changes have been made to the proposed rule in accordance with subparagraph 120.54(3)(d)1., F.S., published in Vol. 50 No. 104, May 28, 2024 issue of the Florida Administrative Register.

    The changes are in response to written comments from the Florida Fire Chiefs Association that were authorized to be submitted at the July 3, 2024, hearing.

    (1) through (6) No change.

    (7) An EMT or paramedic shall verify the identity of the patient by reviewing the patient’s driver license or other photo identification, or upon receipt of an oral statement made by a witness in the patient’s presence. If the patient is a resident and is on the premises of a nursing home facility, as defined by section 400.021, F.S., an assisted living facility, as defined by section 429.02, F.S., or an adult family-care home, as defined by section 429.65, F.S., verification of identity may be provided by oral statement of a witness who is an employee or contract employee of such facility or home.
