The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), Division of Law Enforcement, Boating and Waterways Section, announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

September 6 –Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center Auditorium, 300 Tower Road, Naples, FL 34113
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: To provide information on the minimum standards for prospective Airboat Operator Course Providers. Applicants interested in becoming airboat course providers will need to meet the requirements of subsection 68D-35.001(2), Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), and their course will need to meet the requirements of subsection 68D.35.001(5), F.A.C., to be approved by FWC These rule provisions will be discussed, including, but not limited to: course material that will be provided by FWC pursuant to paragraph 68D.35.001(5)(b), F.A.C.; course material that will need to be created by the applicants, and the specifications and/or checklist FWC will use to evaluate courses for approval. Each session is expected to last three to four hours.
