NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 6, 2013, the Florida Department of Health received a Petition for Variance from paragraph 64E-16.007(6)(e), Florida Administrative Code, from Carolynn Balcar. This rule prescribes credentialing requirements for persons instructing body piercing courses. The Petitioner requests a variance from these rules to allow the Petitioner to provide formal training which includes infection control as part of the curriculum, to body piercers and operators. Comments on this Petition should be filed with the Agency Clerk, Department of Health, Office of the General Counsel, 4052 Bald Cypress Way, Bin A02, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-1703, within 5 days of publication of this notice.
