State Plan Amendment

The Agency for Health Care Administration announces that it is requesting amendments to the Medicaid State Plan.

These State Plan amendments will be submitted as part of implementation of Public Law 111-148, the Patient Responsibility and Affordable Care Act (Affordable Care Act or ACA). The amendments have been developed and provided by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for the state to complete and submit, and will be submitted in several groups.

The groups are:

MAGI-Based Eligibility Groups–identification of mandatory and optional Medicaid eligibility groups and AFDC income standards;

Eligibility Process–single streamlined application or alternative, renewals, and coordination with marketplaces; and

MAGI Income Methodology–identification of income options the state is electing in 2014.
