NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Department of Financial Services, Division of State Fire Marshal, has received the petition for declaratory statement from Ronald L. Martin, Ft. Myers Beach Fire Control District on September 3, 2013.The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Rule 69A-43.011, F.A.C., as it applies to the petitioner.

Regarding fire hose system requirements in Rule 69A-43.011, F.A.C., to transient public lodging establishments; whether alternative means of protection can be allowed by local fire departments; and the applicability of, and deadlines for compliance with, fire sprinkler requirements for transient public lodging establishments as set forth in subsection 509.215, F.S.
