PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To update provisions in the rule due to statutory changes, rule changes and for clarity. Proposed changes include: modification of processes and requirements for continued program approval of teacher preparation programs; and revision of initial and continued program approval requirements for Professional Development Certification Programs to include a teacher mentorship and induction component.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Review modifications of the requirements and implementation of approval processes for each type of educator preparation program offered by a Florida postsecondary institution, public school district, charter school, charter school organization or private provider.
