The Board of Osteopathic Medicine hereby gives notice: on September 12, 2013, an Order was filed on the Petition for Waiver/Variance. The Petition for Waiver and/or Variance was filed by Saddi A. Siddiqi, D.O., on August 8, 2013, seeking a waiver or variance from Rule 64B15-12.001, F.A.C., with regard to the examination requirement. The Notice was published in Volume 39, No. 155, of the Florida Administrative Register, on August 9, 2013. The Board, at its meeting held on August 24, 2103, voted to deny the Petition for Waiver or Variance finding that the Petitioner failed to demonstrate that the purpose of the underlying statute has been or will be achieved by other means. Specifically, the Petitioner has not demonstrated that his other examinations are substantially similar to NBOME COMLEX Part III in appropriately assessing osteopathic components.
