    Board of Massage Therapy

    The Board of Massage Therapy hereby gives notice: of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on March 14, 2019, by Karen Mooney, Phd, LMT, CMMP. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 45, No. 56, of the March 21, 2019 Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a waiver of Rule 64B7-25, F.A.C., and Section 480.014, F.S. Code, regarding licensure requirements. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on April 24 and 25, 2019, in Tampa, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on July 17, 2019, grants the petition for variance and waiver showing that the purpose of the underlying statute is being achieved by other means and that application of the above rule would cause a substantial hardship or violate the principles of fairness.
