PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The Department intends to amend several rules within Chapter 65C-29, Protective Investigations for children, to accomplish the following tasks: 1) Make rule language reflective of 2012 legislative changes to Chapter 39; 2) Add language implementing safety assessments and safety planning that will be consistent with the Department’s new safety decision making methodology, and; 3) Simplify wording and resolve issues of ambiguity.
