PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The rule amendments will update standards adopted by reference and provide other updates for the sanitation and safety criteria in public swimming pools in Florida.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: The rule development will update references to, and bring portions of these rules into alignment with, the current Florida Building Code. The changes will also update referenced standards for lifeguard, school training, and first aid courses, as well as updates to NSF and other incorporated standards. This rule development will address artificial lagoons and surf pools. The rule will also address changes to the variance application, process, and fee. The enforcement rule will be updated to reflect recent changes to other portions of the rule chapter.
