    The Florida Housing Finance Corporation announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Florida Housing Finance Corporation received $10 million in non-recurring grant funds appropriated by the 2013 Legislature to provide housing for homeless persons as defined in Section 420.621(5), F.S., with a priority to serve extremely low-income households. The funding shall be used to finance the creation of permanent supportive housing of 15 or fewer units and must be awarded to private nonprofit organizations. Applicants may use the funding to purchase and renovate existing houses or to construct or purchase and renovate small specialty housing.

    The focus of this workshop will be to discuss and take public and stakeholder comments concerning Florida Housing’s draft Request for Applications for Financing To Build Permanent Supportive Housing For Homeless Persons And Families. Florida Housing Finance Corporation will also discuss proposed credit underwriting guidelines, requirements and timeframes for awardees.
