Page 6, Section G, The type of small business that would be subject to the rule:
Revised to the following:
The CPR and First Aid training certification requirement in state law would affect all licensed ICF/DDs. As of November 1, 2013, there were 101 licensed ICF/DD facilities. The average number of ICF beds/residents in a facility is 28. This new regulation requires a licensee must to ensure that 50% of its staff on duty at all times are certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and have received basic first aid training. Section 483.430420(d)(3), C.F.R., mandates the staffing ratio for ICF is 1 to 3.2 residents. The average number of beds in an ICF is 28 beds. The 28 beds divided by the 3 residents per staff and divided by two (50% of the staff trained) X $58.00** (CPR/First Aid Training). The cost is $290 per facility.
