RULE NO.:RULE TITLE:
64B2-13.004Continuing Education
The Board of Chiropractic Medicine hereby gives notice: of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on August 2, 2019, by Todd Cielo, DC. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Waiver was published in Volume 45, Number 153, of the August 7, 2019, Florida Administrative Register. The Petitioner was seeking a variance of Rule 64B2-13.004, Florida Administrative Code, which specifies the required criteria for online continuing education courses. Petitioner requested a permanent variance to allow him to obtain all required biennial Continuing Education (CE) hours through online continuing education course offerings. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed meeting, held August 23, 2019, in Orlando, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on September 17, 2019, denied the petition finding that Petitioner failed to demonstrate how compliance with Rule 64B2-13.004, F.A.C. would pose an undue hardship on Petitioner or violate principles of fairness.
