RULE NO.:RULE TITLE:
64B2-13.004Continuing Education
The Board of Chiropractic Medicine hereby gives notice: of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on August 1, 2019, by Solomon Lallouz, D.C., DACBSP. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Waiver was published in Volume 45, Number 153, of the August 7, 2019, Florida Administrative Register. The Petitioner was seeking a variance of Rule 64B2-13.004, Florida Administrative Code, which specifies the required criteria for continuing education courses. Petitioner requested a permanent variance to grant him 12 hours of Continuing Education (‘CE”) credit for a course sponsored by the American College of Sports Medicine. The course has not been approved by the Board for Florida Chiropractic CE credit. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed meeting, held August 23, 2019, in Orlando, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on September 17, 2019, denied the petition finding that Petitioner failed to demonstrate how compliance with the rule’s underlying statute, section 460.408, F.S., has been achieved by other means.
