40E-6.011Policy and Purpose

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 25, 2017, the South Florida Water Management District received a petition for waiver, amending a previous petition, from Miami-Dade County Public Schools (Application No. 16-0824-1) for utilization of Works or Lands of the District known as the C-7 Canal for the installation of temporary barricades and temporary parking within a portion of the south right of way of C-7 between NW 27th and NW 32 Avenue; Section 33, Township 52 South, Range 41 East; , Miami-Dade County. The amended petition provides additional information supporting the substantial hardship. The amended petition seeks relief from paragraph 40E-6.221(3)(j), Fla. Admin. Code, which prohibits parking within District rights of way, and subsections 40E-6.011(4) & (6), Fla. Admin. Code, which prohibit above ground structures within 40 feet of top of canal bank
