NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 21, 2023, the Board of Professional Engineers, received a petition for variance or waiver filed by James Austin, regarding subparagraph 61G15-20.002(1)(b)3., F.A.C., which states, experience credit is based on a 40 hour per week full-time employment basis. No additional credit is allowable for overtime work, or for part-time work experience obtained while pursuing engineering education on a full-time basis, or for the pursuit of a master’s or doctoral degree while obtaining full-time work experience. Petitioner requests the Board allow additional experience credit for overlapping educational and work time. Comments on this petition should be filed with the Board of Professional Engineers within 14 days of publication of this notice.
