The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Six, announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME: Thursday, September 10, 2015, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

PLACE: Redland Golf & Country Club, 24451 SW 177 Avenue, Miami, FL 33030

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six will hold a public meeting to discuss the design and scope of work for a roadway widening and reconstruction project along State Road (SR) 997/Krome Avenue from south of SW 232 Street to south of SW 184 Street, in Miami-Dade County. The project identification number is 427369-2-52-01.

The proposed work includes: reconstruction and widening of Krome Avenue; providing a drainage system; providing lighting along the length of the project; providing new signals at SW 232nd Street, SW 216th Street, SW 200th Street and SW 192 Street; and constructing a new bridge at the C-102 canal. Construction is expected to begin in October 2018 and last about 23 months. The estimated cost of the project is $26.1 million.

The public meeting will be held as an open house and attendees are welcome to arrive any time between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to review the proposed plans and project displays. FDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project, answer questions, and receive comments on the proposed improvements.
