    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has allocated $1.1 million in Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS– Coronavirus (HOPWA-CV) funding to the state of Florida to help local governments respond to and recover from COVID-19 and its impacts. Prior to the receipt of HOPWA-CV funding from the HUD Office of Community Planning and Development, Florida is required to prepare a formal substantial amendment to the Federal Fiscal Year 2019 Action Plan. The Department of Health (FDOH) is responsible for preparing the Action Plan and soliciting comments from the public regarding the plan and its subsequent amendments. This public hearing is being held to accept public comment on the FDOH HOPWA 2019 Action Plan Substantial Amendment. A five-day comment period will begin on September 8, 2020, and end on September 14, 2020.

    The full-text version of the substantial amendment with the proposed changes to the 2019 Action Plan is available for viewing on the FDOH website at www.floridahopwa.org. Written comments on the substantial amendment are encouraged.
