PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To update the accreditation recognition requirements and process for approving accrediting agencies that qualify institutions to obtain a license by means of accreditation. The proposed rule revision is to update the standards the accreditation review committee uses to determine whether an accrediting agency’s standards are substantially similar to the Commission standards required for annual licensure.
